Host Team Information

First-Time Host Team arrives 8:00AM – 8:30AM. Orientation at 9:00 AM in the Dining Room and at 10:30 in the Chapel – you need to be at both!

The Returning Host Team arrives at 9:30AM – 10:00AM. Orientation at 10:30AM in the Chapel.

Reminders

  1. Arrive rested and spiritually prepared to love and to serve.
  2. Bring one salty, one sweet, and one healthy snack.
  3. No use of phones, checking email, or internet within the sight of others.
  4. Pray for the weekend and for all participants. Pray specifically for your prayer partner.
  5. Help fill the time slots for the 48-hour prayer vigil.
  6. Plan on helping cleanup on Sunday for about 30 minutes afterwards.

 

Arrival

  1. Carpool with other Host Team members if possible. Avoid carpooling with first-timers unless it is the only way you can get them there.
  2. Park in the upper two lots. The lower lot is reserved for first time guests.  There is NO parking around cabin areas.
  3. Check for cabin assignments when you arrive.
  4. Confirm role assignment when you arrive
  5. When you arrive, place all your belongings on your bunk.
  6. Allow our more ‘seasoned’ Host Team members to take the bottom bunk.

 

Directions: El Camino Pines is 11900 Frontier Road, Frazier Park, CA 93225.

  1. From I-5 between L.A. and Bakersfield, take Frazier Park exit.
  2. Proceed West towards Frazier Park and travel 12 miles. You will be on Frazier Mountain Park Road, which turns into Cuddy Valley Road.
  3. Turn right onto Mil Potrero Road. Drive a short 200 feet down this road.
  4. Turn left at the brown sign listing several camps including El Camino Pines.
  5. Go 1/2 mile on the dirt road (Frontier Road) to the camp parking lot.

 

Packing List

  1. Bring a pillow, linens and blankets for a single size mattress (or sleeping bag), a towel, toiletries, flashlight, journal, and Bible (no Bible Apps).
  2. Check the weather.  The elevation is 6200’, so pack accordingly. We will be outside.
  3. If you have not remitted the registration fee, please bring a check to the retreat and give it to Jay Olsen or Jeremiah Soto
